What is the MCP Server?
The MCP server is a secure, read-only API endpoint that exposes your Signed portfolio and investment data in a machine-friendly format. You can connect third-party tools, or even your AI assistants, for streamlined access to your financial information—without having to copy/paste a thing.
Adding MCP to ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT (Plus or Team required for browsing and plugins).
- Choose "Browse with Bing" or "Advanced Data Analysis" (for file uploads) modes.
- Paste your MCP endpoint —
https://mcp.signed.com— directly into the chat and prompt ChatGPT to fetch or summarize your portfolio. - For custom workflows, use the "Plugins" or "Actions" feature and add the MCP endpoint as a data source.

Adding MCP to Claude
- Open Claude (Anthropic’s web app, or via integrated partner platforms).

Does MCP require authentication?
Authentication is primarily handled over OAuth, but you may also generate a long-lived Personal Access Token in your Connections page for clients that don't place nicely with OAuth. -
The AI says "I can’t access this server."
Some LLM tools block external URLs for safety. You may need to use built-in plugin or data upload features, or check if your LLM provider allows custom APIs. -
Is my data safe?
Yup! All MCP tools are behind the same authentication that is used for Signed itself. For additional protection, you might want to add Passkeys to your account.
